The orchestra had a wonderful two days in Amsterdam, performing at the Concertgebouw concert hall, then it was time to head off to Edinburgh where we'll be giving two performances as part of the Edinburgh International Festival.
On tour you catch up on sleep when you can – usually on a bus or plane. Here, Principal Tuba Steve Rossé enjoys the hour-and-a-half trip from Amsterdam to Edinburgh.
On arrival at Edinburgh, it was a short bus ride to the airport terminal. Nigel Crocker (left) and Frank Celata, Associate Principal Clarinet.
The Sydney Symphony's first performance in Edinburgh on Wednesday 1 September is also a tribute concert to our former Chief Conductor Sir Charles Mackerras. Here, percussionist Colin Piper is interviewed for BBC Scotland about Sir Charles and our Edinburgh Festival programs.
