Pianist Scott Davie has
given concerts throughout Australia and overseas, and his
recordings are regularly broadcast on radio. From 2005 to 2007 he
collaborated with Graeme Murphy and the Sydney Dance Company in
their production of Grand, which was acclaimed throughout
Australia, the United States and China. His academic research has
led to performances and lectures in Europe, and his focus on
Russian music has resulted in lecturing on that topic at the Sydney
Conservatorium of Music. In November 2012 he makes his Sydney
Symphony debut, playing the Australian premiere of the original
version of Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No.4, conducted by
Vladimir Ashkenazy.
