School Resource Kit
A teacher resource kit has been developed for Elective Music students to study symphonic music fused with Australian Rock music focusing on the iconic Australian band The Whitlams.
The content of the kit includes background information on Australian rock music, The Whitlams and fusing rock music into orchestral arrangements. There are a range of classroom activities, including arranging and listening examples.
The Whitlams works have been arranged by some of Australia's leading composers and arrangers including Peter Sculthorpe, Brett Dean, James Ledger and Benjamin Northey.
The kit is available for purchase for $65 and includes the teacher resource booklet, Best of the Whitlams CD & DVD and a recording of Indian Pacific by James Ledger.
