Q. I’m not sure of my/their schedule next year, is it possible to exchange tickets?
Yes! Buy now to secure the best seats at the best price (you can save up to 40% off the individual ticket price) and exchange later should your plans change. You can exchange into any concert listed inthe season calendar. Similarly, if there’s a concert from another series you would rather see, you can exchange into that. An exchange fee and upgrade cost may apply.
Only subscribers can exchange their seats, so you get maximum flexibility at minimum cost.
Q. Which series should I choose?
The Sydney Symphony presents 11 subscription series and a number of performances. Ranging from solo piano recitals in the intimate City Recital Hall Angel Place to exhilarating orchestral spectaculars at the Sydney Opera House, we have a series for every taste and budget. There’s a lot of choice but deciding doesn’t have to be daunting.
You can search the contents of each series by artist, composer, type of experience, day and venue. Simply select the keywords that interest you from the menu and add them to the list and hit ‘search’. The website will return the series that contains the concerts you may like.

Q. I still can’t decide; what are my options?
If you can’t choose a gift for the music-lover in your life, why not let them choose their own? You can purchase gift certificates redeemable for any concert in the concert season and selected merchandise from $30. Simply add the denomination and the number of certificates you’d like to your shopping basket.
If you’d like to give them the finest concert experiences, you can choose a Connoisseur’s Selection subscription. This flexible package allows the recipient to choose any between 4,6 and 8 concerts in our season and receive premium or A-reserve seating (subject to availability).
Q. I’d like to give a subscription, how do I do this?
It’s easy to book a subscription for yourself or someone else online: simply browse our series or search by artist, repertoire, venue or time. Then add the subscription package to your shopping cart. If this is a gift, you’ll be asked to enter the name, address and contact details of the recipient. You can also add a personalised message to be included with their subscription pack.
If you have any special requests – for example, if you want the gift to be a surprise or would prefer it to be delivered to an alternative address – please advise us here also. You’ll need to provide us with your phone number so we can discuss the options with you. We’re happy to assist you in any way we can. Q. I’ve purchased a subscription, what happens next?
When we receive your order we will allocate seating in the reserve you have selected. On the rare chance that we cannot seat you in the reserve you chose, we will contact you to offer alternative seats.
If the subscription is a gift, the recipient will receive a handsomely presented subscription package consisting of their tickets, concert diary, subscriber benefit card, discount parking card and more information about attending Sydney Symphony concerts. If you have given them a Connoisseur’s Selection subscription, we will advise them to call our Box Office to select their concerts. Premium and A-reserve seats for Connoisseur’s Selection packages are subject to availability, so we advise that subscribers contact us as soon as convenient to secure the best seats.
Subscribers may exchange their tickets for any other concert in the subscription season for a small fee. This easy and flexible exchange service is available only to subscribers. Exchanges can be made by calling the Sydney Symphony on (02) 8215 4600 9am-5pm, Mon-Fri.
