Sydney Symphony Announces 2012 Season

"I invite you to join us in 2012 to discover a whole world of music and feeling - sometimes profoundly emotional, sometimes light-hearted, but always fantastic." Vladimir Ashkenazy

The Sydney Symphony and Principal Conductor and Artistic Advisor, Vladimir Ashkenazy, are proud to announce the orchestra's 80th anniversary season in 2012. The season includes a stellar line-up of some of the world's finest classical musicians, including exclusive Australian debut performances by violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter, two gala concerts of Tchaikovsky's Queen of Spades, performances marking highlights of the orchestra's grand history and of course, performances of the highest calibre throughout greater-metropolitan Sydney and New South Wales.
