SYDNEY SYMPHONY AND CREDIT SUISSE ‘PREMIER’ PARTNERS
The Sydney Symphony and Credit Suisse have entered a major new Premier partnership.
The partnership is built on a shared belief in excellence and inspiration as well as the aim to nurture the world’s future classical musicians and conductors.
The three-year partnership sees Credit Suisse supporting the Sydney Symphony’s gala concerts.
ABOUT THE PARTNERSHIP

Credit Suisse also has sponsorship arrangements with the Lucerne Festival, the Hong Kong Arts Festival and the Bolshoi Theatre.The partnership with the Sydney Symphony is the first signature arts sponsorship as well as the first classical music sponsorship for Credit Suisse in Australia. SYDNEY SYMPHONY FELLOWSHIP
The Fellowship is a one-year intensive program for nine musicians up to the age of 30. It combines chamber music, mentored orchestral playing and specially designed workshops in an effort to offer a vital stepping stone from study to work and prepare talented musicians for a career in music. Led by Principal Viola, Roger Benedict, the program has seen the majority of its participants having won positions in major orchestras in Australia and overseas.
SYDNEY SYMPHONY ASSOCIATE CONDUCTOR
Through its Associate Conductor program, the Sydney Symphony shows its commitment to the training of the next generation of Australian conductors and in setting them on a path to successful careers both here in Australia and overseas.The Orchestra’s Associate Conductor role involves learning the orchestra’s repertoire, attending rehearsals and performances, working closely with the orchestra and guest artists and assisting the Sydney Symphony’s Principal Conductor and Artistic Advisor Vladimir Ashkenazy. The role offers the chance to observe the rehearsal and performance procedure of the orchestra and its conductors, an invaluable insight for an aspiring conductor. Read more here.
