Eliza Sdraulig is a cellist from Melbourne. She has studied at The University of Melbourne, New England Conservatory (Boston, USA) and the Australian National Academy of Music (ANAM). In 2018, Eliza was part of the Australian Chamber Orchestra’s Emerging Artist program. She also performs regularly as a casual musician with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.
An avid solo, chamber and orchestral musician, Eliza has appeared as a concerto soloist with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and The University of Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. She was Principal Cello of the New England Conservatory Chamber Orchestra (Boston, USA) and has performed at various festivals such as the Mimir Chamber Music Festival (USA), Australian Festival of Chamber Music and Huntington Festival.
Eliza is the recipient of numerous awards, including the Presidential Distinction Award (New England Conservatory), Victorian Government’s Creative Scholarship (Outstanding Undergraduate) for the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, Gwen Prockter Violoncello Prize, Peg Oldfield Prize for Excellence in Performance and the Lilo Nassau Cello Scholarship.
