Amanda Verner

Amanda Verner was born in Wellington, New Zealand. After pursuing a Bachelor of Music degree in viola performance at the Cleveland Institute of Music as a student of Jeffrey Irvine, she received an Artist Diploma from the Curtis Institute of Music, where she studied with Michael Tree, Misha Amory and Roberto Diaz. Her performances have been described by the New York Times as ‘alluring’ and ‘passionate’. A member of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra since 2013, in recent years she has toured Australia, New Zealand, Asia  and Europe with the Philharmonia Orchestra, Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Australian Chamber Orchestra and the Verbier Festival and Chamber orchestras as well as with the SSO.
