General Audition Information

Live Audition Process

Applicants are required to submit their application by the prescribed closing date as outlined below. Details regarding the audition are distributed after the closing date and audition times a few days before live auditions.

For those unable to attend a live audition, please see the Recording Information Pack for requirements when submitting a digital audition.

Expression of Interest Process

When a position at the Sydney Symphony Orchestra is opened to EOIs, interested and qualified musicians are invited to submit an application, as outlined below.

Successful candidates are invited to undertake a 2 – 3 week trial engagement with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and perform a Recital Audition in the final week.
