My year as an SSO Fellow

"I decided to audition for the Fellowship because it seems like the most logical step to take after finishing study," said our 24-year-old violin Fellow Bridget O’Donnell.

"It just means that you’re becoming a professional... it’s pretty amazing to be in a program that encourages you along that path."

Bridget takes us through her year as an SSO Fellow, including rehearsing and performing with the full orchestra, receiving masterclasses from guest artists and playing chamber music with violin legend Pinchas Zukerman.

It is only thanks to the generosity of our patrons that we are able to support talented young musicians like Bridget.

The Sydney Symphony Orchestra Fellowship Program is also proudly supported by the Bennelong Arts Foundation and the Dr Lee MacCormick Edwards Charitable Foundation.
