If you do not renew before the annual renewal deadline, your seats may be released and become available to others.
In the majority of series, only full-pack subscribers are guaranteed the same seats for the concerts each season. Subscribers to Masters Series 6- and 4-concert packages, Metro Series 4-concert packages, Great Classics 4, Thursday Afternoon 4- and 5-concert packages and Tea & Symphony 4-concert packages are also entitled to renewable seating. Subscription packages comprising less than the full complement of concerts in the series will be seated in their selected reserve where possible. If we cannot accommodate your request, we will contact you to discuss options.
Once we receive your order and payment in full we will mail your subscription pack (tickets, subscriber card, concert diary and diary stickers) to your nominated address.
If you are a new subscriber, we will assign you the best available seats in the seating reserve you have selected, or be in touch with you to discuss other seating options.
Any new or additional series you add to your existing or primary package from the 2019 Season will be discounted by 20% up to Friday 2 November 2018. For new subscribers in 2019, the discount applies to the less expensive of the two series selected. The discount does not apply to pre-existing multiple pack renewals. This discount applies to full price Premium to C-reserve packs only, and not in conjunction with other offers.

You can certainly subscribe as a group, however there is no discount for group subscriptions. Subscription packages are already discounted from the full single ticket price – in some cases up to 25%. However, groups of 8 or more receive a 20% discount on single ticket prices. Holder of means-tested Australian pensions are now able to renew their subscriptions online. Youth subscribers must continue to provide proof of age via the box office. Please note that Seniors Cards are not means-tested and will not be accepted for a concession discount.
Single ticket purchases to Sydney Symphony Orchestra performances or events are subject to these terms and conditions.
By proceeding with this purchase you consent to these terms and conditions. If you are purchasing tickets on behalf of another person you consent on the behalf of that person as their agent.
In order for the Sydney Symphony Orchestra (SSO) to process your ticket request and provide you with advice to better enjoy your concert experience, we collect, hold and use your personal information. If you do not provide us with the information we request, we may be unable to do so.
The SSO may also collect and use your personal information to provide you with information about concerts, activities and events which may be of interest to you or to request your support for the Orchestra. You may opt out of receiving our communications at any time by using the opt out provided in each communication, or by contacting us on 02 8215 4600 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The SSO may disclose your personal information to third parties such as venue managers, ticketing agencies, mailing houses, financial institutions, insurers, IT& other service providers, business partners, government & other related authorities. The third parties to which we disclose personal information may have their facilities located in other countries.
The SSO and its venue manager reserve the right of admission.
A booking fee may be applicable to this transaction.
All sales are non-refundable except in the event of a cancellation or rescheduling as iterated in the Live Performance Australia Ticketing Code of Practice for Ticketing of Live Entertainment in Australia. Ticket exchanges are available for most SSO performances, up to 48 hours before your performance date. You can exchange tickets for Commercial performances to another date of the same production only. All ticket exchanges are available for a fee and are subject to availability, additional charges may apply.
Cameras and other recording devices are prohibited in the venue's auditorium. Mobile telephones, pagers and similar equipment must be turned off before entry into the venue's auditorium.
Tickets are valid only when purchased from the SSO or an authorised agent.
Lost or forgotten tickets will only be replaced only where the SSO is satisfied that such tickets have been purchased by you in accordance with these terms and conditions, and where proofof purchase is available.
SSO reserves right to vary, substitute or withdraw advertised programs, artists, venue and seating arrangements.
SSO performances may be unsuitable for children under eight (8) years of age.
All patrons, irrespective of age, must hold a valid ticket and occupy a seat or dedicated position (unless this has the potential to cause injury to the person).
Patrons arriving late will not be able to be admitted into the venue's auditorium until there is a suitable break in the performance.
Patrons who disrupt a performance may be asked to leave the venue.
SSO reserves the right to record, broadcast and simulcast any performance.
If you are photographed, filmed or taped whilst attending an SSO performance, you consent to SSO or third parties appointed by SSO photographing, filming and taping you. SSO or third parties appointed by the SSO can broadcast, publish, license and use any photographs, film, recordings and images of you without compensation. SSO, the third parties and anyone acquiring from them a right to use the material are not liable to you in any way for its use.
The layout of SSO venues may be unfamiliar to you, so you must take care at all times. You acknowledge that you are responsible for your own safety and for the safety of any person accompanying you.
The SSO is not liable to you for any claims, damages, compensation, losses or expenses as a result of a SSO performance being cancelled, postponed or changed.
To the extent permitted by the law, you release the SSO (including its directors, officers, employees, consultants, contractors, agents and volunteers) from any liability for any damage, loss, liability or injury you may suffer in relation to your attendance at a venue, how so ever caused, including due to any negligence or other act or omission of SSO.
You agree to compensate the SSO for any damage, loss, liability or injury the SSO may suffer as a result of your wilful, reckless or negligent acts or omissions at a venue.
You acknowledge that you are responsible for your own property during attendance at an SSO concert or event.
From time to time, the SSO may make offers in relation to services available to ticket holders. These offers are subject to change without notice. The SSO is not responsible for the performance of third parties in relation to any offer or service.
The SSO may choose not to enforce some or all of these terms and conditions, on a case by case basis. This does not mean that the SSO waives its right to enforce some or all of these terms and conditions as it sees fit. If any of these terms and conditions cannot be enforced, the remaining terms will survive.
Under 30 tickets are available to people aged 30 years or under on 1 January 2019. Proof of age must be supplied when booking and may be required before admission to each concert. Youth tickets are available in A-D reserve seating areas only.
Concession tickets are available to current holders of means-tested Australian pensions (Aged, Disability, Veterans' Affairs, Supporting Parent) and to Australian full-time students. Proof of concession eligibility must be supplied when booking and may be required before admission to each concert. Tickets will not be posted until such proof is supplied. Discount is applicable in A-C reserves only.
Subscription packages to Sydney Symphony Orchestra (SSO) performances are subject to the SSO’s Conditions of Sale and to the requirements of the venue at which the performances are presented.
To be eligible to renew your seats where this has been offered, you must submit your renewal order by Friday 28 September 2018.
If we cannot accommodate your request, we will contact you to discuss other options. If you do not renew your subscription by this date, your seats may be released and become available to others.
Most subscribers are guaranteed the same seats as they had for their 2018 package for the 2019 concerts in tehse Curated packages only:
New subscribers are offered the best available seats at time of purchase. Tickets will be sent as soon as possible after we receive payment in full, or payment plans are finalised.
YOUTH <30 SUBSCRIBERS
Youth subscriptions are available to people aged 30 years or under on 1 January 2019. You will be seated in the best available seating at the time of purchase. Youth subscription pricing is only available for Curated Packages.
Youth 18 years and under must be accompanied and seated with a full paying adult. Proof of age must be supplied when booking and may be required before admission to each concert.
PROCESSING YOUR SUBSCRIPTION
After 18 July 2018, we will begin to process orders by the date in which they are received for those made via mailed form or online. Orders made over the phone will be offered the best available seating at the time of purchase.
Payment by credit card, cheque, money order or cash must accompany your booking.
Cash payments can be made in person at the SSO Offices, Clocktower Square, cnr Argyle & Harrington streets, The Rocks.
If you choose an instalment payment plan your first deposit is non-refundable after initial payment is processed. Subsequent payments will be automatically deducted from your credit card on the first Friday of each month. All payments will be completed in January 2019. Final credit card deduction on Friday 4 January 2019.
Once we receive your order and payment in full, we will mail your subscription pack (including tickets, subscriber card, concert diary and diary stickers). If you have elected to pay in instalments, your tickets will be mailed to you after the balance of your payment is paid.
Cheque payments are only available with two-part payment plans (20%/80% or 50%50%). If you have paid by cheque, we will send you a reminder to pay your final instalment.
Concession subscriptions are available on selected packages to current holders of certain means-tested Australian pensions (Aged, Disability, Veterans’ Affairs, Supporting Parent) and to Australian full-time students.
Proof of concession eligibility must be supplied when booking and may be required before admission to each concert. Tickets will not be sent until such proof is supplied.
CHANGE OF ARTIST OR PROGRAM
The SSO reserves the right to vary, substitute or withdraw advertised programs, artist, venue and seating arrangements, and to vary prices.
Refunds are not available, except as specified in the Entertainment Code of Practice. The 20% deposit on subscription bookings is not refundable.
Subscribers may exchange tickets from Monday 19 November 2018.
Alternatively, subscription tickets may be exchanged up to two working days before the performance for which tickets were originally issued. Exchange requests are not available after this time or after the date of a concert.
To avoid or minimise any exchange fees you may wish to consider choosing a flexible Create Your Own package instead of a Curated package with fixed dates.
Any new and additional package from the 2019 season onwards will be discounted 20% up to Friday 2 November 2018. Discount applies to full-price Premium – C-reserve packages only. This discount does not apply for pre-existing multiple package renewals. For new subscribers in 2019, the discount applies to the less expensive of the two series selected. Not to be used in conjunction with other offers.
Subscribers are entitled to 10% discount on extra single tickets to 2019 Season concerts, from Premium to C Reserve seats. The subscriber discount does not apply to Sydney Symphony Orchestra Presents concerts.
Single tickets become available to subscribers ahead of the general public from Monday 19 November 2018.
Subscribers can add Special Event concerts and save 10% on one Special Event, 15% discount on two Special Event concerts, and 20% discount for three Special Event concerts when ordered before SATURDAY 28 SEPTEMBER 2018.

Subscribers may elect to become a Gold Subscriber, paying the same price for their 2019 and 2020 subscription in 2019. The 2020 subscription and 2021 subscription amount is paid for in 2018 and held on account. Your package and credit will be guaranteed when it comes time to renew in 2019.
