Q. What is the closing date to renew my 2019 Season subscription?
To be eligible to renew your seats, you must submit your renewal by Friday 28 September 2018. If you do not renew before this date, your seats may be released and become available to others.
Q. Will I be able to keep the same seats as last time?
In the majority of series, only full-pack subscribers are guaranteed the same seats for the concerts each season. Subscribers to Masters Series 6- and 4-concert packages, Metro Series 4-concert packages, Great Classics 4, Thursday Afternoon 4- and 5-concert packages and Tea & Symphony 4-concert packages are also entitled to renewable seating. Subscription packages comprising less than the full complement of concerts in the series will be seated in their selected reserve where possible. If we cannot accommodate your request, we will contact you to discuss options.
Q. What happens after I book?
Once we receive your order and payment in full we will mail your subscription pack (tickets, subscriber card, concert diary and diary stickers) to your nominated address.
If you are a new subscriber, we will assign you the best available seats in the seating reserve you have selected, or be in touch with you to discuss other seating options.
Q. Do I receive a discount if I book more than one series?
Any new or additional series you add to your existing or primary package from the 2019 Season will be discounted by 20% up to Friday 2 November 2018. For new subscribers in 2019, the discount applies to the less expensive of the two series selected. The discount does not apply to pre-existing multiple pack renewals. This discount applies to full price Premium to C-reserve packs only, and not in conjunction with other offers.

Q. Do I get a discount if I book for a group?
You can certainly subscribe as a group, however there is no discount for group subscriptions. Subscription packages are already discounted from the full single ticket price – in some cases up to 25%. However, groups of 8 or more receive a 20% discount on single ticket prices. Q. What concession proof does the SSO accept so I can receive a discount?

Holder of means-tested Australian pensions are now able to renew their subscriptions online. Youth subscribers must continue to provide proof of age via the box office. Please note that Seniors Cards are not means-tested and will not be accepted for a concession discount.
Q. How does a subscription work?
Each year between February and December the Sydney Symphony presents a season of around 100 concerts divided into 10 subscription series – and one customisable series.

Q. What’s a Kickstart package?
If you’re new to classical music or concert-going, try one of our Kickstart Packages. We’ve chosen three or four concerts in our Masters, Metro, Mondays @ 7 and Kaleidoscope series that will provide an easy and enjoyable introduction to the Sydney Symphony experience.
Q. What age is right for the Family Events?
Our Family Event packages are enormously enjoyable for the whole family, but we’ve pitched the music and content to children from 5–12 years.
Q. What happens if I can't attend one of my concerts?
If you can't attend a performance in your series, or would simply prefer to enjoy a different concert, it's easy to exchange your tickets to another concert from Monday 19 November 2018.
Our Exchange Policy:
Subscription tickets may be exchanged up to two working days before the performance for which tickets were originally issued. Exchange requests are not available after this time or after the date of a concert.
Refunds are not available if you chose to change into a ticket of a lower cost.

Q. I've lost my tickets, what do I do?
Don't panic! Missing ticket vouchers can be arranged by telephoning the Sydney Symphony on (02) 8215 4600 (Mon–Fri, 9am–5pm)
If you need to replace tickets at a performance, ask a Sydney Symphony customer service representative. For Sydney Opera House Concert Hall performances, they can be found 90 minutes before each performance at the specially indicated window in the Box Office Foyer on Level 1.
For City Recital Hall performances, head to the Sydney Symphony Customer Service Desk in the main foyer.
Please note that exchanges are not available on lost tickets.
Q. I am unable to attend all of my series concerts, can I transfer the seats to someone else?
Subscribers have the option to transfer their seats to another patron in the event they might be travelling for most of the season. Simply request a transfer form from the box office before the renewal deadline of FRIDAY 28 SEPTEMBER 2018.
Q. What if I'd like to hear a concert that's not in my series?
Subscribers have several options for supplementing their series packages or even substituting concerts from a different series.

Flexible exchange service
The Sydney Symphony prides itself on offering a flexible and understanding approach to accommodating subscribers' changing needs, with our easy Ticket Exchange Service. Exchanges can be made subject to availability and any upgrade costs. Original tickets must be presented via person, a picture via email or posted to the Sydney Symphony two working days prior to the concert in the exchange.
