Celebrating Linda Ronstadt

Celebrating Linda Ronstadt

The Sydney Symphony Orchestra presents a musical salute to one of the most celebrated artists of her generation.

In 1969 Linda Ronstadt released her debut solo album and went on to be one of the most celebrated female artists of her generation. Fifty years later the Sydney Symphony Orchestra will celebrate the career of this multi-award-winning performer featuring some of Australia’s leading artists. Including such hits as Blue Bayou, You’re No Good, Don’t Know Much, Desperado and It’s So Easy.

Versatile does not begin to describe Linda Ronstadt’s career, which weaves between rock, pop, mariachi, country and opera. She obtained Rock & Roll Hall of Fame status in 2014 for over six decades of worldwide, multi-platinum albums and countless awards and accolades. She has worked with music royalty such as Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash, Phillip Glass, Nelson Riddle, Bette Midler, Frank Zappa and her duets with Aaron Neville are on every good wedding playlist.

Spend time with the Sydney Symphony revisiting these musical hits alongside your memories.
