Nobuyuki Tsujii plays Chopin

Nobuyuki Tsujii (Nobu) returns to the Opera House stage after winning the hearts of Sydney audiences last year.

Limited seats available. Please call (02) 8215 4600 (Mon-Fri 9am-5pm) to book.

In 2016 Nobu – winner of the 2009 Van Cliburn prize – made his Sydney debut with vivid and expressive performances of Beethoven’s third piano concerto. On this visit he plays Chopin's elegant Piano Concerto No.2, with its blend of rippling virtuosity, heartfelt lyricism and Polish dance rhythms. The dancing inspiration continues in the second half when the orchestra performs Dvořák’s exuberant and uplifting Eighth Symphony, and Berlioz’s thrilling Corsaire overture begins the concert.

Pre-concert talk by David Garrett at 7.15pm in the Northern Foyer. The concert will conclude at approximately 9.50pm.

Hear Nobu perform Bach, Mozart and Beethoven in recital at City Recital Hall on Monday 22 May.
