Vivaldi's Four Seasons
A Sydney Symphony Family Event

Discover the vivid imagery of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons – one of the most famous pieces of classical music ever written.

Antonio Vivaldi was one of the best violinists of his time and wrote many pieces we love today. Most popular of all are his Four Seasons violin concertos. They paint pictures of the Italian seasons: the gentle breezes of Spring, insects buzz in the Summer heat, a hunt in Autumn and sitting inside next to the fire listening to the rain in Winter.

Concertmaster Andrew Haveron plays Vivaldi’s colourful and very tricky concertos. Brilliant young violinist Christian Li (aged 10) performs the Summer concerto, with its exciting lightning storm.

Suitable for children ages 5+ and their families.
Show duration: 50 minutes, no interval

Kid’s Activity Zone!

Join our music educators for interactive music activities in the foyers from 45 mins before the 1pm concert, and 45 mins after the 2.45pm concert.

We’re passionate about making our music concerts engaging and exciting for children. Before or after your family performance our music educators will be onsite to encourage our youngest audience members to experiment with music-making in a fun, relaxed environment!

Find the activities in the foyers where children can compose music and hear it played live • explore some exotic instruments • become a musician in our Percussion Club • snap a selfie at our selfie-wall… will they be the conductor or a musician?
