David Larkin is a musicologist based at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Originally from Ireland, he studied at Dublin and Cambridge before joining the University of Sydney in 2010.
He specialises in 19th-century Germanic music, especially that of Liszt, Wagner and Richard Strauss. He has lectured in three continents, and is also the author of a number of scholarly articles.
David has studied piano to diploma level, and sings regularly with Sydney Philharmonia and Sydney Chamber Choirs.
