Resound and the Sydney Symphony

Instrument donation drive

The Sydney Symphony Orchestra is partnering with Resound, an organisation seeking to reunite musicians with instruments that have been lost or damaged due to Australian natural disasters, such as bushfires and floods.

In response to the recent floods, we are seeking donations of musical instruments for string, woodwind, brass and percussion instruments.

As a thank you for each donation, we are offering two complimentary tickets to select Sydney Symphony performances.*

If you have an instrument in good condition and in need of a new home, please bring it to our Box Office in The Rocks, Sydney between 6 June and 6 July 2022, and we’ll transport the instrument to the Resound organisation. We’ll also arrange your complimentary tickets.

If you’re intending to make a donation, please be prepared to provide your instrument make and model, estimated instrument value and date of last service to our Box Office team upon donation.
Please note, we are unable accept acoustic pianos, large electric organs, broken or un-serviced instruments.

We do ask that the instruments you donate to the communities we’re supporting are in good condition and working order.

The Sydney Symphony Box Office is located at:
Clocktower Square, Cnr Harrington & Argyle Streets, The Rocks NSW 2000
Open weekdays 9:00am – 4:00pm
If you have any questions, you can call our Box Office on (02) 8215 4600.
