There is nothing better than playing alongside a professional to inspire and enhance a student musician’s playing and interpretative techniques. The Sydney Symphony reaches out to young musicians across NSW by offering collaborative orchestral workshops combined with individual tuition.
These experiences can be life-changing for young music-makers and the excitement is always contagious.
Celebrating 25 years of inspiring young musicians from across NSW, Playerlink! continues to provide a rare opportunity for students located outside the major metropolitan centres to experience the thrill of performing with Sydney Symphony musicians. Australia’s leading orchestral musicians share the reality of professional orchestral rehearsal and performance with budding instrumental students. Playerlink is a three-day workshop hosted by one of NSW’s Regional Conservatoriums in conjunction with St Patrick’s College for Girls, Campbelltown.
Students in school Years 5 – 12 are invited to apply. The 2019 workshop has now ended.
