What to expect at the Workshop

During the multi-day workshops, students will participate in instrumental section tutorials mentored by the Sydney Symphony Orchestra Fellows. They will study orchestral parts focusing on aspects of musicianship such as posture, intonation, articulation, ensemble playing and interpretation. The students and SSO Fellows then come together to rehearse as a whole orchestra, finishing off with a free concert for family and friends.

Music

Repertoire is selected after the applications close and parts will be sent to successful participants in advance of the weekend so they have time to practice.

What to bring

Successful applicants will need to bring their own instrument (except percussionists), music, music stand, pencil & eraser. Bring your own lunch, morning/afternoon tea, and water bottle.

Transport

Successful applicants will need to make their own arrangements for transport to and from the workshop venue on all days.
