The Sydney Symphony Orchestra's Meet the Music series continues to introduce audiences to a rich variety of orchestral repertoire at the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall.
These two discrete four-concert series introduce secondary students to the concept of ‘subscription’ in an evening concert-going experience. The orchestra brings to life great classics, modern and home-grown masterpieces, sharpening listening skills and supporting the music curriculum. These concerts begin at 6:30pm and program durations range from 2 to 2.5 hours.
‘To listen to these kids give the SSO soloists the kind of rapturous send off you'd think was reserved for Adele or Kanye West is in itself an inspiration.’
