Dvořak’s Ninth Symphony was a hit right from its premiere.

It’s easy to hear why: propulsive rhythms, memorable melodies, stirring climaxes. But its great magic is that it simply feels like home to everyone who hears it.

Hailed by Australian Stage as ‘the most interesting voice in Australian composition for many years’, Harry Sdraulig’s brand-new Violin Concerto, written for Emily Sun and her ‘searing and poetic tone’ (The Guardian) receives its Sydney Symphony premiere, led by Conductor in Residence Benjamin Northey.

The Space Between Stars by Sydney composer Ella Macens, celestial and radiant, and the perfect opener for this concert.
