How do I book my tickets?

  • Online via this website
  • Mail (subscriptions only) complete your subscription booking form and send to Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Reply Paid 4338, Sydney NSW 2001

How do I pay for my tickets?

  • Credit or Debit Card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners Club)
  • Cheque (payable to 'Sydney Symphony Orchestra Holdings Pty Ltd')
  • Gift Certificates for full or partial payment
  • Credit on account – should you have a Sydney Symphony Customer Account with credit, your value will appear in your shopping cart online.

When will I receive my tickets?

Concert tickets not part of a subscription package, and with e-ticket delivery nominated, will arrive 72 hours before your concert.

If you have booked a subscription, your tickets will be mailed to you shortly after your booking once the order is fully paid.

I’ve lost my tickets, what do I do?

If a ticket is either lost, misplaced, or never received, please contact the Sydney Symphony Orchestra Box Office on (02) 8215 4600 (Mon–Fri 9am–4pm), or go to the venue on the day of your performance and ask at our Customer Service Desk for a replacement ticket. The venue's Box Office will be open from 60 minutes prior to the performance's start time.

I haven’t received my tickets, what do I do?

If you have not received your tickets by 72 hours before the concert, please contact the Sydney Symphony Orchestra on (02) 8215 4600 (Mon–Fri 9am–4pm) or visit the venue's Box Office from 60 minutes prior to the performance's start time.

Why are you collecting my details?

Collecting this information allows us to provide more relevant customer service support, such as concert information or any changes to your booking.

Am I eligible for concession pricing?

Concession-priced tickets are available to select performances for current holders of an Australian pension (Aged, Disability, Veterans' Affairs, Supporting Parent), to Australian full-time students, and customers aged under 35 years. These discounts are available upon provision of proof of the following:

  • Means-tested Australian pension card (including: Aged; Disability; Veterans' Affairs; Supporting Parent and Job Search)
  • Student ID card
  • Drivers license, passport or birth certificate

Holders of means-tested Australian pensions are now able to renew their subscriptions online. Youth subscribers must continue to provide proof of age via the Box Office.

Please note that Seniors Cards are not means-tested and will not be accepted for a concession discount.

Proof of concession eligibility must be supplied when collecting tickets and may be required prior to admission to each concert.

Do you provide discounts for group bookings?

Groups of eight or more can save up to 20% on tickets to a single performance (not available for subscriptions). This discount doesn't apply to all performances or all reserves, so please contact our Box Office for more information.

Am I eligible for Youth Under 35 pricing?

Youth-priced tickets are available to select performances from our 2025 Season and select seat reserves for customers aged under 35 years as of 1 January 2025. Youth discounts are available upon provision of proof. Proof of eligibility must be supplied when collecting tickets and may be required prior to admission to each concert.

Can I bring children to a performance?

Yes, you can! Children aged 0–23 months at the time of a performance may be seated on a parent’s lap free of charge, with exception to our Ready, Set, Listen! concert series where a ticket is required for all ages. All children occupying a seat, or aged 2 years and over must hold a valid ticket. Children aged 15 years and under must be accompanied at all times by an adult when attending concerts at the venues.

Credit on Account

I have credit on my Sydney Symphony account. How do I use it?

You can use your credit to:

  • Book tickets for a Sydney Symphony performance in 2025
  • Make a tax-deductible donation

You can redeem your credit:

  • Online: Your credit value will appear in your shopping cart. Before you check out, please click ‘Apply’ in the Credit field.
  • Over the phone: please indicate to our Customer Relations Representative you would like to use your credit.

Does my credit expire?

Credit amounts resulting from previously cancelled concerts (between years 2020–2021) expire on 30 September 2025.

Credit amount resulting from exchanged tickets will expire on 31 December of the performance year.

Ticket Exchanges

Can I exchange my tickets for another date?

Yes, you can. If you are unable to make it to the concert, you can contact us 48 hours (excluding Public Holidays) before the concert to exchange your tickets. Requests made after the concert date are not guaranteed.

How to exchange your ticket

Contact the Sydney Symphony Box Office by phone or email to reserve your new concert ticket and pay any upgrade costs and/or exchange fees. Our Box Office can be reached by phone on (02) 8215 4600 on Monday to Friday between 9am to 4pm. Or via email at info@sydneysymphony.com.

Depending on how close it is to your new concert date, we will either send you tickets via mail or e-tickets by email.

Do I have to pay for an exchange fee?

If you are not a Season subscriber, an exchange fee of $10 per ticket will apply, in addition to any upgrade costs. Please read our Terms and Conditions for more information.

Upgrade costs may apply to current subscribers if transferring to a higher priced reserve or to an event with higher ticket prices. No additional fees apply.

If you are a current subscriber and exchange a ticket for a lower ticket price, the difference will not be credited to your account.

How do I book a 2026 Season subscription?

  • To renew your subscription, click here. Log in and follow the prompts to complete your renewal.
  • If you don't have a renewal available, you can book a new package. Browse our Series Packs or Create Your Own Packs.
  • You can also use the booking form enclosed in the 2026 Season brochure and emailing it to info@sydneysymphony.com or by mailing it to:

How do I pay for my order online?

Credit or Debit Card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners Club)

Credit on account: should you have Sydney Symphony Account credit, your value will appear in your shopping cart online.

Gift Certificates for full or partial payment. You'll be able to enter the Gift Certificate number in your shopping cart.

How are subscription bookings processed?

We process subscription bookings in date order of receipt. We will seat you in the best available seats, as close as possible to your seating request.

How will I receive my tickets?

You will receive your subscription tickets by post, together with your subscriber card.

Why are you collecting the details of a co-subscriber?

Collecting this information allows us to provide more relevant customer service support to your co-subscriber, such as 'know before you go' information, the ability to exchange tickets independently and issuing a subscriber card to access subscriber benefits.

What if I’d like to purchase a concert that's not in my Series Pack?

Subscribers have the following options:

  • Additional concerts can be added at time of renewing your Pack from our Special Offers page.
  • From 10 November 2025, subscribers will receive a 10% discount when adding additional concerts, or
  • Call us to arrange an exchange to the concert you wish to attend. Terms and Conditions apply.

I am unable to attend all of my concerts in my Series Pack, can I transfer the seats to someone else?

Subscribers have the option to transfer their seats to another patron in the event they may be away or unable to attend for most of the season. Simply contact the Box Office before the renewal deadline to make a transfer request.

What happens if I can’t attend a concert as part of my Subscription Pack?

You can contact us before the performance and arrange an exchange or transfer your seats to a nominated person.

Can I change or resolve an issue with my seating?

Yes, you can. Please provide us with your seating request when placing your booking online or through your booking form and we will find you the best available seating. Where required we will give you a call to discuss your options.

Gift Certificates

How do I purchase a gift certificate?

Sydney Symphony Orchestra gift certificates can be purchased online or via the Box Office on (02) 8215 4600. Various denominations are available for purchase.

How do I redeem a gift certificate?

  • Gift certificates can be redeemed for concert tickets online, over the phone on (02) 8215 4600 (Mon–Fri 9am–4pm), or in person at the Sydney Symphony Box Office.
  • Gift certificates are valid for 3 years from the date of the purchase.
