Training Partnerships
The Sydney Symphony Orchestra works closely with Australia’s leading training institutions to support emerging artists and strengthen the future of music.
Our partnership with the Australian National Academy of Music (ANAM) sees their young musicians regularly join us on stage for major performances including in the landmark presentation of Gurrelieder in 2024.
With the Australian Youth Orchestra (AYO), we collaborate through the annual String Immersion Program, welcoming young string players to spend a week embedded within the Orchestra.
We also share a long and proud history with the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, a relationship that continues to shape generations of Australian musicians. Together, these partnerships create vital opportunities for young artists to learn, perform, and grow alongside one of the nation’s leading orchestras.
