Single Tickets
Single ticket purchases to Sydney Symphony Orchestra performances or events are subject to the following Terms and Conditions.
By proceeding with a purchase, you consent to these Terms and Conditions. If you are purchasing tickets on behalf of another person you consent on the behalf of that person as their agent.
- The Sydney Symphony Orchestra adheres to the Live Performance Australia (LPA) Code of Practice for the Ticketing of Live Entertainment in Australia. The LPA Ticketing Code of Practice Consumer Code can be found here.
- In order for the Sydney Symphony Orchestra to process your ticket request, we collect, hold and use your personal information. If you do not provide us with the information we request, we may be unable to process your ticket request.
- The Sydney Symphony Orchestra may also collect and use your personal information to provide you with information about concerts, activities and events which may be of interest to you or to request your support for the Orchestra. You may opt out of receiving our communications at any time by using the opt out provided in each communication, or by contacting us on (02) 8215 4600 or at privacy@sydneysymphony.com.
- The Sydney Symphony Orchestra may disclose your personal information to third parties such as venue managers, ticketing agencies, mailing houses, financial institutions, insurers, IT & other service providers, business partners, government and other related authorities. The third parties to which we disclose personal information may have their facilities located in other countries.
- The Sydney Symphony Orchestra Privacy Policy describes how you can access your personal information or lodge a complaint about privacy. Please read our Privacy Policy.
- The Sydney Symphony Orchestra and its venue manager reserve the right of admission.
- A booking fee may be applicable to transactions.
- All sales are non-refundable except in the event of a cancellation or rescheduling as iterated in the Live Performance Australia Ticketing Code of Practice for Ticketing of Live Entertainment in Australia. Ticket exchanges are available for most Sydney Symphony Orchestra performances, up to 48 hours before your performance date.
- Professional cameras and recording devices are prohibited in the venue. Mobile phones, pagers and similar equipment must be turned to silent before entry into the venue's auditorium.
- Bags may be screened and large items need to be cloaked.
- Tickets are valid only when purchased from the Sydney Symphony Orchestra or an authorised agent.
- Lost or forgotten tickets will only be replaced where the Sydney Symphony Orchestra is satisfied that such tickets have been purchased by you in accordance with these terms and conditions, and where proof of purchase is available.
- Sydney Symphony Orchestra reserves the right to vary, substitute or withdraw advertised programs, artists, venue, and seating arrangements.
- Children aged 15 years and under must be accompanied at all times by an adult.
- Sydney Symphony Orchestra performances may be unsuitable for children under twelve (12) years of age.
- Children aged 0-23 months at the time of a performance may be seated on a parent’s lap free of charge, with exception to our Ready, Set, Listen! concert series where a ticket is required for all ages. All children occupying a seat, or aged 2 years and over must hold a valid ticket.
- Patrons, including children, who disrupt a performance may be asked to leave the venue.
- Patrons arriving late may not be able to be admitted into the venue's auditorium.
- Sydney Symphony Orchestra reserves the right to record, broadcast and simulcast any performance.
- If you are photographed, filmed or taped whilst attending a Sydney Symphony Orchestra performance, you consent to Sydney Symphony Orchestra or third parties appointed by Sydney Symphony Orchestra photographing, filming and taping you. Sydney Symphony Orchestra or third parties appointed by the Sydney Symphony Orchestra can broadcast, publish, license and use any photographs, film, recordings and images of you without compensation. Sydney Symphony Orchestra, the third parties and anyone acquiring from them a right to use the material are not liable to you in any way for its use.
- The layout of Sydney Symphony Orchestra venues may be unfamiliar to you, so you must take care at all times. You acknowledge that you are responsible for your own safety and for the safety of any person accompanying you.
- The Sydney Symphony Orchestra is not liable to you for any claims, damages, compensation, losses or expenses as a result of a Sydney Symphony Orchestra performance being cancelled, postponed or changed.
- To the extent permitted by the law, you release the Sydney Symphony Orchestra (including its directors, officers, employees, consultants, contractors, agents and volunteers) from any liability for any damage, loss, liability or injury you may suffer in relation to your attendance at a venue, how so ever caused, including due to any negligence or other act or omission of Sydney Symphony Orchestra.
- You agree to compensate the Sydney Symphony Orchestra for any damage, loss, liability or injury the Sydney Symphony Orchestra may suffer as a result of your wilful, reckless or negligent acts or omissions at a venue.
- You acknowledge that you are responsible for your own property during attendance at a Sydney Symphony Orchestra concert or event.
- From time to time, the Sydney Symphony Orchestra may make offers in relation to services available to ticket holders. These offers are subject to change without notice. The Sydney Symphony Orchestra is not responsible for the performance of third parties in relation to any offer or service.
- The Sydney Symphony Orchestra may choose not to enforce some or all of these Terms and Conditions, on a case-by-case basis. This does not mean that the Sydney Symphony Orchestra waives its right to enforce some or all of these Terms and Conditions as it sees fit. If any of these Terms and Conditions cannot be enforced, the remaining terms will survive.
- Under 35 tickets are available to people aged 35 years or under on 1 January 2026. Proof of age must be supplied when booking and may be required before admission to each concert. Under 35 tickets are available in A-C Reserve seating areas only.
- Concession tickets are available to current holders of means-tested Australian pensions (Aged, Disability, Veterans' Affairs, Supporting Parent) and to Australian full-time students. Proof of concession eligibility must be supplied when booking and may be required before admission to each concert. Tickets will not be posted until such proof is supplied. E-tickets will arrive from 72 hours before your concert. Discount is applicable in A-C reserves only.
Subscriptions
Subscription Packs to Sydney Symphony Orchestra performances are subject to the Sydney Symphony Orchestra’s Terms and Conditions and to the requirements of the venue at which the performances are presented.
Renewing Subscribers
- To be eligible to renew your subscription, you must submit your renewal order by Friday 24 October 2025.
- If we cannot accommodate your request, we will contact you to discuss other options. You can:
- Renew your current Series Pack with no changes, or
- Request a change to your current Series Pack, e.g. the number of seat, the seating reserve you require or series (subject to availability), or
- Transfer your subscription to another patron if you personally authorise us to do so. Simply contact the Customer Relations Team before Friday 24 October 2025.
Payment Options
- Payments by credit card, cheque, or cash (cash should not be sent via Postage) must accompany your booking.
- Cash payments can be made in person at the Sydney Symphony Orchestra Offices: Level 17, 56 Pitt St Sydney, until 19 December 2025.
- If you nominate an instalment payment, your first deposit will be taken within 2 business days after order. Final payment for Fortnightly payment option will be deducted on 17 December 2025. Final payment for all other instalment options will be deducted on 9 January 2026.
Processing your subscription
- Where we are unable to fulfil your booking request, you will be placed on a waitlist, without charge, and will be contacted should seats become available.
Under 35 Subscriptions
- Under 35 subscriptions are available to people aged 35 years or under on 1 January 2026.
- You will be seated in the best available seating within A-C reserves, at the time of purchase.
- Under 35 Subscription pricing is only available for Series Packs (not available for Create Your Own Packs).
Concessions
- Concession subscriptions are available on selected packs to current holders of certain means-tested Australian pensions (Aged, Disability, Veterans’ Affairs, Supporting Parent) and to Australian full-time students.
- Proof of concession eligibility must be supplied when booking and may be required before admission to each concert.
- Tickets will not be sent until such proof is supplied.
- E-tickets will arrive from 72 hours before your concert.
Change of Artist or Program
- The Sydney Symphony Orchestra reserves the right to vary, substitute or withdraw advertised programs, artist, venue, and seating arrangements, and to vary prices.
Refunds
- Refunds are not available, except as specified in the Entertainment Code of Fair Practise of Live Entertainment in Australia.
- The 20% deposit on subscription bookings is not refundable.

- Subscribers are entitled to 15% discount on extra single tickets to 2026 Season concerts, until 24 October 2025. At such time the discount will revert to a 10% discount.
- Discount applies to Premium to C Reserve seats only.
- Discount applies to Adult and Pensioner prices.
- Discount does not apply to Child or Under 35 prices.

Prize Claim Details

Prize Delivery
The Promoter will contact the winner to confirm return of funds to the original account used for the initial purchase. The prize will be returned to the Winner via the original method of purchase for the 2026 Subscription Pack.
Additional Conditions
Prize (General)
- The Prize must be taken as offered and cannot be varied. Prizes may not be sold, are not transferrable or exchangeable.
- The Promoter takes no responsibility for any variation in the value of the prize according to dynamic ticket fluctuations.
Conduct of Promotion
- If for any reason any aspect of this Promotion is not capable of running as planned for any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, including, but not limited to, government regulations associated with global pandemic and impacts of such regulations to Prize suppliers, by reason of war, terrorism, state of emergency or disaster (including natural disaster), infection by computer virus, telephone network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or anything which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Promotion, the Promoter may, in its sole discretion, cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion, invalidate any affected entries and/or, if necessary, provide an alternative prize to the same value as the original prize, subject to the approval of the relevant authorities in each Eligible States and Territories.

Ticket Exchanges
The Sydney Symphony Orchestra’s “Ticket Exchange Service” variously called “Exchange Service” or “Exchange” or “Exchanges” is subject to Terms and Conditions. These apply to all purchases relating to the Sydney Symphony Orchestra’s 2026 Season concerts and presentations.
- The Sydney Symphony Orchestra adheres to the Live Performance Australia (LPA) Code of Practice for the Ticketing of Live Entertainment in Australia. The LPA Ticketing Code of Practice Consumer Code can be found here.
- If you are unable to attend an event for reasons including, without limitation, your illness, the illness of any person accompanying you, or other person you need to care for, transport failure or delay, or where you choose not to attend the event for which you have purchased a ticket, the Sydney Symphony is under no legal requirement to provide you with an exchange or refund.
- The Ticket Exchange Service is available to fully paid ticket purchases with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra only. If you purchased your ticket via the venue or an authorised ticket seller, please contact them directly to discuss available options.
- Exchanges will not be available for presentations where the Sydney Symphony Orchestra is not the sole presenter, or where the Sydney Symphony Orchestra are presenting or participating in a performance by arrangement with another promotor or producer.
- Exchanges are subject to availability. Tickets cannot be exchanged into sold out performances. Blackout dates may apply.
- Exchanges are only available within the Season for which the original ticket was purchased. Ticket exchanges from one season to another (i.e., across calendar years) are not available.
- Exchanges will not be offered once the performance has lapsed.
- Tickets can be exchanged up to 48 hours before a performance.
- A ticket exchange fee of $10 per ticket may apply.
- Current Season subscribers are exempt from the fee; however, they may be charged for the difference (upgrade costs) in ticket prices when selecting new tickets that are more expensive.
- If exchanging to tickets with a higher value, customers are charged the upgrade costs. Exchanges are not considered finalised until payment is received. Credit and refunds are not available if you choose to exchange to a ticket with a lesser value.
- Once an exchange has been finalised, your original tickets will no longer be valid and should be deleted or destroyed. If the incorrect ticket is presented at the venue, entry will be denied.
- To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for any other expenses you incur or may incur, including in relation to an exchange, event cancellation or in connection with attendance to a performance. Other expenses include cost of travel, parking, childcare, accommodation, and food and beverage.
- The Sydney Symphony Orchestra reserves the right to restrict access to this service to a customer where the Sydney Symphony Orchestra believe the service is:
- Being used for the purpose of arbitrage;
- Being used to avoid paying the originally advertised cost of the resulting season package;
- Being used contrary to the way that the Sydney Symphony Orchestra intended the service to be used;
- Being used in an unacceptable way or in a way that a reasonable person would not consider ordinary; and/or,
- Being used for business purposes.
Sydney Symphony For Schools
School ticket purchases to Sydney Symphony Orchestra performances or events are subject to the standard ticket Terms & Conditions and the Terms & Conditions located here below.
By proceeding with this purchase, you consent to these Terms & Conditions. If you are purchasing tickets on behalf of another person or organisation you consent on the behalf of that person or organisation as their agent.
General Conditions
- All school ticket purchases are subject to the Sydney Symphony Orchestra’s Standard Ticket Terms & Conditions.
- Bookings can only be made by authorised representatives of the school or educational institution. By making a booking, the representative confirms they have the authority to act on behalf of the organisation.
- Tickets will only be issued once full payment has been received.
- The Sydney Symphony Orchestra reserves the right to release unpaid bookings.
- A 20% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking.
- Payment due dates for both the deposit and the remainder will be clearly communicated on your invoice.
Booking Changes & Increases
- Changes to bookings can be made up to five (5) working days prior to the performance date.

- Subject to availability, schools may increase student and/or teacher numbers up to five (5) working days prior to the performance. These requests must be accompanied by payment.
Teacher & Adult Attendance
- One complimentary teacher/carer ticket is provided for every 15 student tickets purchased.
- Additional adult tickets may be purchased at the student ticket price, at the discretion of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra.
- Adult attendance must reflect typical school supervision ratios (approximately 1 adult per 10–15 students).
- Bookings with an adult-to-student ratio higher than this are not permitted and will be deemed in breach of these Terms & Conditions.
- Groups unable to comply with these requirements are encouraged to attend Sydney Symphony’s Family Concerts.
Exchanges
- Ticket exchanges are available only for nominated 2026 Season performances, subject to availability.
- Exchanges can only be processed after full payment has been received.
- Requests must be made no later than five (5) working days prior to the earlier of:
- The original performance date, or
- The new performance date.

- If the new performance has a higher ticket price, the difference must be paid at the time of the exchange.
Open Rehearsals
- Open Rehearsals are working rehearsals; the appearance of specific artists or inclusion of particular works cannot be guaranteed.
- Duration is approximately 90 minutes, but may vary at the conductor’s discretion.
Age Guidance
- Each Sydney Symphony for Schools event is designed for a specific age group.
- Teachers are encouraged to assess the suitability of each concert for their students.
- These performances are not suitable for children under 5 years of age.
Student Workshops
- The following workshops (see below) are not performances, but workshops, and are only available for four (4) tickets per school.

- Young Musicians Workshop
Teachers Lounge Membership
- Discounted and/or complimentary tickets are only available to select Teachers Lounge members.
- Teachers Lounge discounted and/or complimentary tickets are non-transferrable.
- Teachers Lounge Member must attend.
- Teachers Lounge complimentary and/or discounted tickets are limited to the number offered, indicated on the email you receive. (Two (2) and four (4) tickets respectively for one performance date, per concert series.) Additional tickets beyond this limit may be cancelled.
- Teachers Lounge membership concert tickets may be varied or withdrawn at any time without notice.
- Teachers Lounge discounted and/or complimentary tickets are subject to availability with a limited allocation available and only for select performances.
- Teachers Lounge membership available for NSW and ACT Teachers only.
- By joining the Teacher’s Lounge program, members are automatically signed in to receive our Learning and Engagement e-newsletter Tuned In for the term of their membership.
Mob Tickets
Mob Tickets for Sydney Symphony Orchestra performances are subject to the Sydney Symphony Orchestra’s Terms and Conditions and to the requirements of the venue at which the performances are presented.
- Mob Tickets are available for First Nations audience members in acknowledgment of the traditional custodians of these lands.
- Mob Ticket discounts are only applicable to selected performances here.
- Mob Ticket discounts are subject to availability.
- Mob Ticket purchases are limited to 2 tickets per order.
- Mob Ticket purchases are limited to A-C reserve.
Post-Concert Survey Prize
Entry Method
- To be entered, entrants must opt-in to the competition within the post-concert survey form sent to them by the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and submit their responses.
Maximum Entries
- Entrants will receive maximum one (1) entry each.
Entry Restrictions
- Entry is not open to Sydney Symphony Orchestra employees or their immediate families.
Draw Details
- One (1) computer-generated draw will be conducted as follows: Conducted one (1) week (7days) after the survey closes.
- Valid for ticket holders of performances attended between January and December 2026, who meet entry requirements.

- The patron must follow the online instructions to gain a 4-digit code when claiming a Sydney Symphony Orchestra offer.

Vanguard Membership
Vanguard members are subject to the Sydney Symphony Orchestra’s Terms and Conditions and to the requirements of the venue at which the performances are presented.
Membership
- Each Vanguard membership season begins on 1 January and concludes on 31 December of that same year.
- Memberships that start on or after 15 April 2025 will also conclude on 31 December 2025.
- Membership in the Vanguard Program season begins upon receipt of membership fees and includes:
- Double passes to exclusive Vanguard events (full season includes 5 events)
- Access to Sydney Symphony Orchestra partner discounts
- Sydney Symphony Orchestra VIP Ticketing services
- Invitations to special events and information regarding ticket offers.
- Annual membership may be made via a one-time payment of $850, or via 12 monthly instalments of $85.
- Those who join partway through the year may be offered a pro-rata membership fee.
Payment Options
- Payments by credit card, cheque, or cash (cash should not be sent via Postage) must accompany your membership request.
- Cash payments can be made in person at the Sydney Symphony Orchestra Offices: Level 17, 56 Pitt St Sydney.
- If you nominate to pay in monthly instalments, payments will be processed to your specified card on file on the 18th of each month (or the nearest business day)
- Those who have purchased single tickets to attend one or more Vanguard events in a year and subsequently purchase a membership will have the cost of one Vanguard ticket discounted from their membership fee.
