Single ticket purchases to Sydney Symphony Orchestra performances or events are subject to these terms and conditions.
By proceeding with this purchase you consent to these terms and conditions. If you are purchasing tickets on behalf of another person you consent on the behalf of that person as their agent.
In order for the Sydney Symphony Orchestra (SSO) to process your ticket request and provide you with advice to better enjoy your concert experience, we collect, hold and use your personal information. If you do not provide us with the information we request, we may be unable to do so.
The SSO may also collect and use your personal information to provide you with information about concerts, activities and events which may be of interest to you or to request your support for the Orchestra. You may opt out of receiving our communications at any time by using the opt out provided in each communication, or by contacting us on 02 8215 4600 or at email@example.com.
The SSO may disclose your personal information to third parties such as venue managers, ticketing agencies, mailing houses, financial institutions, insurers, IT & other service providers, business partners, government & other related authorities. The third parties to which we disclose personal information may have their facilities located in other countries.
The SSO and its venue manager reserve the right of admission.
A booking fee may be applicable to this transaction.
All sales are non-refundable except in the event of a cancellation or rescheduling as iterated in the Live Performance Australia Ticketing Code of Practice for Ticketing of Live Entertainment in Australia. Ticket exchanges are available for most SSO performances, up to 48 hours before your performance date. You can exchange tickets for Commercial performances to another date of the same production only. All ticket exchanges are available for a fee and are subject to availability, additional charges may apply.
Cameras and other recording devices are prohibited in the venue's auditorium. Mobile telephones, pagers and similar equipment must be turned off before entry into the venue's auditorium.
Tickets are valid only when purchased from the SSO or an authorised agent.
Lost or forgotten tickets will only be replaced where the SSO is satisfied that such tickets have been purchased by you in accordance with these terms and conditions, and where proofof purchase is available.
SSO reserves right to vary, substitute or withdraw advertised programs, artists, venue and seating arrangements.
SSO performances may be unsuitable for children under eight (8) years of age.
All patrons, irrespective of age, must hold a valid ticket and occupy a seat or dedicated position (unless this has the potential to cause injury to the person).
Patrons arriving late will not be able to be admitted into the venue's auditorium until there is a suitable break in the performance.
Patrons who disrupt a performance may be asked to leave the venue.
SSO reserves the right to record, broadcast and simulcast any performance.
If you are photographed, filmed or taped whilst attending an SSO performance, you consent to SSO or third parties appointed by SSO photographing, filming and taping you. SSO or third parties appointed by the SSO can broadcast, publish, license and use any photographs, film, recordings and images of you without compensation. SSO, the third parties and anyone acquiring from them a right to use the material are not liable to you in any way for its use.
The layout of SSO venues may be unfamiliar to you, so you must take care at all times. You acknowledge that you are responsible for your own safety and for the safety of any person accompanying you.
The SSO is not liable to you for any claims, damages, compensation, losses or expenses as a result of a SSO performance being cancelled, postponed or changed.
To the extent permitted by the law, you release the SSO (including its directors, officers, employees, consultants, contractors, agents and volunteers) from any liability for any damage, loss, liability or injury you may suffer in relation to your attendance at a venue, how so ever caused, including due to any negligence or other act or omission of SSO.
You agree to compensate the SSO for any damage, loss, liability or injury the SSO may suffer as a result of your wilful, reckless or negligent acts or omissions at a venue.
You acknowledge that you are responsible for your own property during attendance at an SSO concert or event.
From time to time, the SSO may make offers in relation to services available to ticket holders. These offers are subject to change without notice. The SSO is not responsible for the performance of third parties in relation to any offer or service.
The SSO may choose not to enforce some or all of these terms and conditions, on a case by case basis. This does not mean that the SSO waives its right to enforce some or all of these terms and conditions as it sees fit. If any of these terms and conditions cannot be enforced, the remaining terms will survive.
Under 30 tickets are available to people aged 30 years or under on 1 January 2020. Proof of age must be supplied when booking and may be required before admission to each concert. Youth tickets are available in A-D reserve seating areas only.
Concession tickets are available to current holders of means-tested Australian pensions (Aged, Disability, Veterans' Affairs, Supporting Parent) and to Australian full-time students. Proof of concession eligibility must be supplied when booking and may be required before admission to each concert. Tickets will not be posted until such proof is supplied. Discount is applicable in A-C reserves only.
Subscription packages to Sydney Symphony Orchestra (SSO) performances are subject to the SSO’s Conditions of Sale and to the requirements of the venue at which the performances are presented.

Subscribers may elect to become a Gold Subscriber, paying the same price for their 2020 and 2021 subscription in 2019. The 2020 subscription and 2021 subscription amount is paid for in 2019 and held on account. Your package and credit will be guaranteed when it comes time to renew in 2020.

These Terms and Conditions apply from 1 August 2019. They apply to all purchases relating to the Sydney Symphony Orchestra’s 2020 concert season and presentations.

If you are unable to attend and event for reasons including, without limitation, your illness, the illness of any person accompanying you, or other person you need to care for, transport failure or delay, or where you choose not to attend the event for which you have purchased a ticket, the Sydney Symphony Orchestra is under no legal requirement to provide you with an exchange or refund.
