Bus

Catch one of the many Sydney buses that terminate at Circular Quay. From there, you can follow the covered walkway straight to the Sydney Opera House.

The closest train station is Circular Quay, on the City Circle Line. Plan your trip here or call Transport NSW on 131 500.

Wilson Parking Sydney Opera House car park is the closest to the Opera House and is located at 2 Macquarie Street (northern end). Vehicle entry is adjacent to the Sydney Opera House Forecourt. It’s open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

During busy times parking may be limited. We recommend arriving early or pre-booking. And if you want a speedy exit after the concert, remember to pre-pay just after you arrive.

If you have an RTA Mobility Parking Scheme Permit, there are accessible parking spaces on Level 1 and Level 6 of the car park. Car spaces on level 6 also have direct wheelchair access to lifts.

On the way out
The car park can get a little busy after a concert. To avoid the rush, why not have a late supper or treat yourself to a dessert at one of the many nearby cafés?

There are other public car parks nearby:

• Sir Stamford Hotel car park, Alfred Street
• Intercontinental Hotel car park, Phillip Street
• Secure Parking at 131 Macquarie Street.

For elderly or less mobile customers, there’s a free Courtesy Bus between Circular Quay and the entrance to the Sydney Opera House foyer. There is lift access in the foyer.

The bus is wheelchair accessible and departs from the pedestrian concourse, underneath the Cahill expressway. Seating is limited, so it’s first come, first served.

Sydney Opera House has installed an FM radio system in all its venues to replace the older infra-red system. This system provides even coverage throughout all theatres.

The Companion Card is accepted for all performances at the Sydney Opera House. Patrons holding a Companion Card can call Sydney Symphony Orchestra box office (02) 8215 4600 or the Sydney Opera House on +61 2 9250 7752 to discuss seating requirements.
