Two of Australia’s biggest musical theatre stars join the Sydney Symphony Orchestra for an unforgettable celebration of Broadway’s greatest hits curated and led by award-winning conductor Jessica Gethin. 

Celebrated for their performances in The Phantom of the Opera on London’s West End and in Australia, Amy Manford and Josh Piterman present a musical love letter to the magical world of Broadway.

Music Director / Conductor

Award-winning conductor Jessica Gethin is recognised for her dynamic presence on the podium, musical versatility and inspiring artistic leadership. Equally at home in the concert hall and theatre, her repertoire spans symphonic, opera, ballet, film and contemporary works. She performs regularly with all of Australia’s major orchestras, including the Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, West Australian, Queensland and Tasmanian Symphony Orchestras as well as Orchestra Victoria, and works extensively with the West Australian Ballet and The Australian Ballet.

International engagements have taken her throughout Asia, New Zealand and the United States, for appearances with orchestras including the Singapore Symphony Orchestra, Malaysian Philharmonic, Orchestra Macao and The Dallas Opera. She has collaborated with distinguished classical artists including Sir Bryn Terfel and Emma Matthews, as well as international jazz and contemporary artists including Harry Connick, Jr., Makoto Ozone, Michael Bolton and Chrissy Amphlett, in projects ranging from symphonic concerts to genre-crossing productions presented at leading venues including the Sydney Opera House, Sidney Myer Music Bowl and Carnegie Hall, New York.

Jessica currently serves as Principal Conductor of West Australian Ballet, Artistic Advisor to Orchestra Victoria, and Head of Orchestral Studies and Conducting at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, where she mentors the next generation of conductors and orchestral musicians. From 2011–2019, she was Chief Conductor of the Perth Symphony, shaping the orchestra’s artistic growth and national profile. She is also an ambassador and lead faculty member for Perth Symphony’s Women on the Podium initiative, championing greater representation and leadership pathways for women in conducting.

Her accolades include being named twice in Limelight Magazine’s Top 20 Australian Artists, inclusion in the Australian Financial Review’s 100 Most Influential Women, the Brian Stacey Emerging Australian Conductor Award, a Churchill Fellowship, appointment as an inaugural Hart Institute Fellow with The Dallas Opera, finalist for West Australian of the Year, and induction into the 2024 WA Women’s Hall of Fame.

Josh Piterman

Vocals

Josh Piterman is an established musical theatre performer, classical crossover artist, presenter and author, who has been working consistently on Australian and UK stages for close to 20 years. His past theatrical credits include being a part of international pop opera group The Ten Tenors, the role of Tony in the 2010 Australian production of West Side Story, Bustopher Jones/Gus/Growltiger in the 2015/16 Australian season of Cats (a role that won him the Green Room Award for best supporting actor in a Musical), Corny Collins in the UK tour of Hairspray and Gerry Goffin in the 2017/18 Australian tour of Beautiful: The Carole King Musical. His critically acclaimed West End debut came as he took on the most coveted role as The Phantom in the brilliant original production of The Phantom of the Opera at Her Majesty’s theatre in 2019, a role he was thrilled to reprise in 2022 in the Opera Australia production both at the Sydney Opera House and Arts Centre Melbourne. Josh returned to London in 2023 to star as Jean Valjean in the West End production of Les Misérables.

Josh is the founder of “Behind The Mask Coaching” and primarily works with AFL/AFLW players and corporates clients focusing on breathwork, mindset training and visualisation meditation. He is the host of the 'Behind The Mask' podcast achieving number #2 Self-Improvement podcast on the iTunes Charts and can be listened to wherever you get your podcasts. His debut book also titled ‘Behind the Mask’ was published in April 2025 by Echo publishing.

Mindy Coppin

Executive Producer

With a career spanning more than 30 years, Mindy is an internationally recognised leader in the global arts and entertainment industry. She has worked across major arts organisations, venues and global agencies as a festival, concert and theatre producer, artist manager, agent, venue consultant, programmer and management consultant.

Mindy has represented and toured multi-Grammy Award-winning artists internationally across classical music, dance, theatre, pop and jazz, managing their careers across live performance, television and commercial opportunities. She has produced and toured major musicals, shows and attractions throughout Asia Pacific; advised leading performing arts venues and festivals across Australia, Asia and Europe; and created and led multi-year, multi-award-winning festivals in Asia.

Her consulting work spans the public and private sectors, advising governments, corporations, venues and cultural organisations on performing arts strategy, programming, development and international engagement.

Based in Singapore with a global remit, Mindy has a rare and deeply connected understanding of the international arts and entertainment ecosystem — its people, markets, cultural dynamics and commercial opportunities. Her three decades of experience across both the creative and business sides of the industry give her a distinctive ability to connect artists, audiences, organisations and opportunities across borders.
