Dance Classics with the Sydney Symphony
Sydney Town Hall
Sat 30 Jan, 2027, 7.00pm
From the gilded ballrooms of St Petersburg to the streets of New York and somewhere you might not expect an orchestra to go at all – the mosh pit – this concert celebrates music written for and inspired by dance.
Tchaikovsky brings Romantic drama while Bernstein and Copland present two very different sides of American life. Piazzolla and Dvořák bring the folk music of their homelands into the concert hall, while Australian composer Matthew Hindson proves inspiration can come from anywhere – even heavy metal!
Join us for a party without ever leaving your seat.
