In French Reflections, the Sydney Symphony Orchestra Fellows present a sophisticated selection of chamber works spanning Baroque splendour to 20th‑century brilliance. Lully’s regal dances open a program enriched by Saint‑Saëns’ elegant Septet and Poulenc’s refined lyricism. Martinů’s La Revue de cuisine brings rhythmic vitality and modern flair, complemented by Bernovsky’s striking Trio for Brass. This concert showcases the Fellows’ artistry across a vivid palette of ensemble colours and historical styles.

2026 Sydney Symphony Fellows

In 2026 we are excited to welcome 13 aspiring instrumentalists to take part in our Fellowship program.

They will experience intensive training, including masterclasses with world-renowned artists, dedicated mentorship from Sydney Symphony musicians and performance opportunities across a diverse range of musical styles. Fellows will take part in chamber and orchestral performances, from mainstage concerts to Learning & Engagement activities and regional programs.

And this year we also welcome four Conducting Fellows for the first time, providing a crucial stepping stone on their path towards a professional career.

We extend a special thank you to our Presenting Partner, Coxswain Alliance, for supporting the 2026 Fellowship program.
