A program that explores the intimate, conversational nature of chamber music, taking its cue from Sibelius’s mature masterpiece for string quartet.

Mahler’s larger-than-life First Symphony finds fresh intimacy in Iain Farrington’s magnificent arrangement for 15 musicians, performed as part of new chamber series Crescendo, presented by the Sydney Opera House.
