Step 1: Download the sheet music for the movement(s) you’d like to apply for.
Step 2: Select the video of the corresponding movement you’d like to apply for. The sheet music is for the alternate solo part to that being played by Ray Chen in the video.
Step 3: Practise with the video and sheet music until you’re ready to film your audition.
Step 4: When you’re ready to audition, set up your smartphone or other video recording device facing towards you. When you’re ready, press play on the supplied video and film yourself playing along to the movement you wish to apply for. You’ll be playing the alternate solo violin part to Ray Chen.

You should be able to hear your violin in balance with the recorded Ray Chen and Sydney Symphony Orchestra video. If it is difficult to hear either part, then adjust the volume on the device you're playing the video from.
Step 5: Once you’re happy with your audition video, upload it to YouTube.
Step 6: Fill out the application form in the above link by clicking APPLY NOW.
You may apply for one, two, or all three movements of the concerto, it’s up to you! We’ll be selecting one winner for each movement of the Bach Double Violin Concerto. Make sure that each movement is uploaded to YouTube as a separate file and share each link in the application page where prompted.
